For three decades The Okanagan Wine Festivals Society has tasted, judged and celebrated some of the best wine that British Columbia has to offer. It’s about time we had a handle that showed our true diversity.

Welcome to the BC Wine Awards. If it’s grown, made and bottled in BC, this is the competition to
enter – and watch. After all, it’s about the best of BC wines. That… and bragging rights.

The judging for the BC Wine Awards consists of 12 North American wine judges and takes place over the course of three days in Kelowna. The competition is open to all wineries in BC that make wines from 100% BC grown grapes/fruit.

Medals will be awarded on a Gold, Silver, Bronze system and there will also be awards for Best Overall Red, Best Overall White, Best Overall Dessert and Best New Winery. Winners will be announced at a public event on October 8 named the Medal Winners Wine Reception.
